Dental anxiety keeps people out of the chair for years, and the damage compounds. Sedation makes it possible to complete needed treatment calmly, often consolidating several appointments into one.

Oral conscious sedation is a prescribed medication taken before the visit. IV sedation offers a deeper level of relaxation with monitoring throughout, and most patients remember little of the appointment.

Existing patients with a dental emergency should call the office first. Broken teeth, lost crowns and acute pain are triaged the same day whenever the schedule allows.

Common questions

Will I be unconscious during sedation dentistry?

No. Both oral and IV sedation keep you conscious and able to respond, but deeply relaxed and largely unaware of the procedure.

What counts as a dental emergency?

Severe pain, swelling, a knocked-out or fractured tooth, or a lost crown or filling. Call 713-963-9191 during office hours for the fastest response.
