Dr. Nicki Tajalli owns and leads Uptown Dentistry. She has practiced comprehensive and cosmetic dentistry in Houston for more than two decades, and she personally plans and performs the care her patients receive.
Experience, training and approach
A lifelong Houstonian, Dr. Tajalli completed her undergraduate work at the University of Houston-Downtown and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. She opened Uptown Dentistry so patients could get thorough, unrushed dentistry from one dentist who knows their history, rather than a rotating roster.
Her focus is comprehensive and cosmetic dentistry: porcelain veneers, bonding, whitening and full smile makeovers planned around the face and the bite, alongside the crowns, aligners, gum therapy and preventive care that keep a smile healthy for decades.
She pursues advanced continuing education every year in cosmetic technique, digital smile planning, occlusion and implant restoration, and she brings that training into a practice built on digital scanning, intraoral photography and low-dose imaging so patients see exactly what she sees.

Dr. Sid Ahmadi
Dr. Ahmadi is not an owner or partner of Uptown Dentistry. He is an independent specialist who treats Dr. Tajalli's patients when a case calls for implant placement or oral surgery.
When a treatment plan includes implant placement, bone grafting or a surgical extraction, Dr. Tajalli brings in Dr. Sid Ahmadi so patients can have that step done in the same familiar office instead of being sent across town.
Dr. Ahmadi spent six years as an electrical engineer before entering dentistry and is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He handles the surgical phase; Dr. Tajalli plans the case, restores the implant and remains your dentist throughout.
