Replace missing teeth with a smile that feels like your own
A dental implant is the closest thing to growing a new tooth. Planned under the personalized care of Dr. Nicki Tajalli, implant treatment in our Uptown Houston office restores comfortable chewing, protects your jawbone and gives you a smile you never have to think about.

How an implant works
A small titanium post is placed in the jawbone, where it fuses with the bone over a few months. A custom abutment and ceramic crown are then attached, shaded and shaped to blend with your natural teeth. Because the implant replaces the root as well as the visible tooth, it stimulates the bone and helps preserve your facial profile.
Single teeth, bridges and full arches
Implants can replace one tooth, several teeth with an implant-supported bridge, or an entire arch. Implant-supported dentures snap securely into place, so there is no slipping, no adhesive and far fewer food restrictions than a traditional denture.
Digital planning
We use 3D imaging to measure bone volume and map nerves and sinuses before treatment. That planning lets us choose the right implant size and position, which is what makes long-term success predictable.
A coordinated team
Your care is led by Dr. Tajalli from the first consultation to the final crown. For some cases we work alongside trusted surgical specialists for placement, and Dr. Tajalli designs and restores the final teeth so the result fits your bite and your smile.
Is an implant right for you?
Most healthy adults are candidates. Gum disease, uncontrolled diabetes or heavy smoking can affect healing, so we evaluate your overall health first. If bone has shrunk after a long-missing tooth, grafting can rebuild the foundation.
Caring for your implant
Implants cannot decay, but the gums around them still need care. Brushing, flossing and regular cleanings keep the tissue healthy, and well-maintained implants commonly last for decades.

Common questions
Usually three to six months from placement to final crown, because the bone needs time to bond with the implant. Grafting can add time.
The area is thoroughly numbed, and most patients say recovery feels easier than they expected. Over-the-counter pain relief is usually enough.
An implant does not require reshaping the neighboring teeth and helps preserve bone, so it is often the better long-term choice. We review both options with you.
